ClinicMaster is used by over 180 hospitals and Clinics in Uganda, Kenya, South Sudan and

Rwanda.

Job Summary:

The junior software developer position is a position that provides one with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the software development industry.

ClinicMaster is looking for two (2) .Net junior developers to be part of the team. One will contribute to ClinicMaster application development, configure existing systems and create technical documentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Formulate program specifications, features, and basic prototypes for potential incorporation into the product
Creating new applications or updating existing applications based on user requirements
Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
Revise and de-bug computer code to fix errors and improve performance
Develop technical documentation in collaboration with the user requirements.
Write unit tests for written code to test for bugs or other issues that may affect the functionality of the system or the user experience.
Participating in peer code reviews to improve the quality of code written by other team members
Conducting research on new technologies and techniques to identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

One should hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
At least one-year experience of writing and executing SQL statements
Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and Java Script
Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns
Basic understanding of Agile methodologies
A passion for technology and software building.
Attention to detail, an analytical mind and time-management skills
At least one year experience of working with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies
Detail-oriented ability to detect and fix errors in code
A team player with excellent communication skills
